It's been a while since I did a check in.
Things are always changing, that's one thing always for sure...
We are no longer homeschooling the kids. Tate is now being bussed into a school in Las Tablas which is a town a 1/2 hour away. We learned that we aren't cut out for homeschooling, kids or parents. So now were getting back to our normal roles, which feels way better for our family dynamic. Tate is doing amazing, considering the school is all Spanish, he is working very hard and seems to be taking great pride in his work, Dwight and I are relieved... I think Tate is too:)
Zade just started the local kinder class, none of us are too impressed with it but it's good for his Spanish if nothing else. I have learned such a great appreciation for creative teaching, it's such a talent- thanks to all the teachers in our lives:)))))
We are still living in our little house, which is working out really well, it's tiny but easy to clean and we spend most of our days outdoors. It's centrally located so we can bike just about everywhere, LOVE THAT!
This weekend the kids and the neighbors built a rancho in our side yard. It took them all weekend, it was pretty nerve racking all the machetes flying around, I think the kids think I am a bit loca with my controlling ways but I'm not use to it-YIKES!
I decided I needed a project so I have been working on getting into the schools to start teaching some environmental awareness. The principle has invited me to come to each class and teach.
So many beach and river cleanups to come after I get the sponsors to buy Pedasi more trash cans. I have my work cut out for me.
Things are really good here. We have liked our experience so far. Were getting pretty use to the mellow lifestyle that Panama provides. Can't complain one bit!!! There are imperfections of course which makes it real and reminds us of how grateful we are for everything in life.
